Job Summary

Mackenthun's Demonstrators play an essential role in delivering an exceptional shopping experience by educating customers about the store's products and services. Demonstrators interact with customers, provide product samples, and promote the unique offerings of Mackenthun’s. This position requires an enthusiastic attitude, a passion for customer service, and a desire to share knowledge about the store’s wide variety of products. Demonstrators must be approachable, knowledgeable, and able to engage with customers in a friendly, professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Cheerfully greet customers and engage with them in a friendly, welcoming manner.
• Promote and demonstrate store products.
• Educate customers on product features, qualities, and benefits.
• Answer customer inquiries regarding the products and services offered.
• Set up and maintain a clean, organized, and safe product demonstration station.
• Ensure all samples are fresh, properly stored, and maintained.
• Clean up the demo area at the end of the shift, adhering to sanitation and safety guidelines.

Additional Duties:

• Monitor product quality and freshness throughout the demonstration.
• Ensure that all safety and health standards are followed.
• Actively promote Mackenthun’s Exceptional Experience to customers.

Schedule/Availability:

• Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays mid-morning to early evening  
• Special Event Days as needed with possibly different hours
• Maybe up to 10 hrs/week, variable 

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• A positive attitude and a customer-first approach to service.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and speak in English.
• Ability to work independently, make decisions, and solve problems as needed.
• Strong interest in food products.
• Must be able to perform basic math for inventory and product demonstrations.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
