Position Overview:

This position is responsible for managing efficient flow of goods within the plant. Coordinating activities of production control, purchasing, inventory control that support Production functions and production material flow functions. Responsible for budget ownership, process definition and approval as well as staffing decisions.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

· Confer with warehouse and inventory personnel to resolve problems and identify needs affecting system users.

· Confer with employees at all levels of the company to discuss progress of work regarding customer orders and production scheduling to resolve problems and ensure standards of service quality and product delivery are met.

· Maintaining inventory levels/safety stock levels.

· Collaborate with Supplier Quality Engineer to review supplier performance metrics, determine necessary vendor responses and drive continual improvement

· Partner with Inventory Control Manager and Material Manager

· Responsible for managing most efficient means possible of processes, configurations, physical production layout, flow. Decisions should be data based and justifiable.

· Understanding of forecasting/budget process.

· Excellent organization and leadership skills

· Identify material requirements from production and new product requirements

· Develop and install procedures and practices and study work flow and sequence of operation.

· Offer technical expertise to cross functional project team.

· Supervise, mentor and coach subordinates

· Provide a work environment where employees are actively involved in proactive measures towards production goals and safety.

· Maintain a culture of open and robust communication to facilitate and enhance the achievement of business goals and objectives and work across functional groups.

· Align departmental goals and objectives to support business growth and financial objectives.

Requirements/ Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management or equivalent.

· 7+ years of experience.

· CPIM or APIC certification preferred

· Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management systems.

· Oracle experience a plus

· Understanding of forecasting/budget process a must.

· Must have a thorough working knowledge of best practices and an ability to drive change. Thorough understanding of replenishment concepts and MRP/ERP planning.

· 6Sigma/LEAN experience desired.

· Excellent analytical and communication skills required.
