~ We are currently recruiting for two full-time Family Medicine Physician positions ~

 

 

 

Who You Are:

Amoskeag Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Medicine Physician to provide high-quality, family-oriented outpatient care to patients across the life cycle. In this role, you will see patients independently as well as those referred by other physicians and mid-level providers, delivering comprehensive health exams, diagnosing and treating medical conditions, and ensuring appropriate follow-up.

 

This position is ideally 40 hours per week, including 34 hours of direct patient care on-site and 6 hours for administrative duties, team meetings, and case conferencing.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide complete, comprehensive, family-oriented outpatient care throughout the life cycle, including health examinations, treatment, and follow-up on medical conditions.
  • Medically manage acute and chronic illness, develop a plan of care, coordinate care, and determine need for case conference.
  • Make appropriate referrals to internal disciplines of Amoskeag Health and/or external agencies, including sub-specialty and surgical evaluation, social services, nutrition, substance abuse, and mental health counseling.
  • Provide care for clients with acute illness, allowing for same-day appointments as necessary in collaboration with nursing staff.
  • Prescribe medications for treatment of medical conditions when indicated and provide appropriate follow-up with nursing staff assistance.
  • Provide clinical consultation to physicians and mid-level providers as needed.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, easily understood documentation in the client’s electronic medical record.
  • Participate in an on-call system to provide client access to care (or maintain communication with other providers if part time and not taking call).
  • Attend mandatory safety-related and infection control in-services.
  • Assist with development of medical/clinical policies and protocols as needed.
  • Maintain sensitivity to cultural diversity of population served and age-related competence.

 

Requirements

 

What You'll Bring:

  • License to practice medicine in the State of New Hampshire.
  • Board eligible or Board Certified in Family Practice.
  • Maintain Board Certification in Family Medicine.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification required — candidates without current certification will be required to complete an Amoskeag Health–provided AHA BLS class upon hire (must be maintained)
