Position Summary:

The Client is seeking an experienced Spanish–English Translator Consultant to support a short-term evaluation assignment in Honduras. The Consultant will provide high-quality written translation of evaluation tools and support real-time interpretation during qualitative data collection activities, including Key Informant Interviews (KIIs). The role requires experience working in evaluation or research contexts and the ability to accurately convey technical and project-related information.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Translate evaluation materials, including KII guides, interview protocols, and supporting documentation, from English to Spanish and Spanish to English.

·       Provide consecutive interpretation support during KIIs and other interviews with project stakeholders, regulators, private sector representatives, and other relevant actors, as needed.

·       Support the evaluation team during interviews by ensuring clear, accurate, and complete communication between interviewers and respondents.

·       Assist with clarification of interview notes or review of translated content to ensure accuracy and consistency with original meanings.

·       Coordinate closely with evaluation team members to ensure consistent use of terminology and alignment with evaluation objectives.

·       Support qualitative data collection activities in a professional and confidential manner.
