Intern Corporate & Finance Legal

ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY


This will be a 12 week Legal Summer Internship, with 3 rotations of 4 weeks each.  One rotation will be with Regulatory and Government Affairs, another with the Corporate & Finance Law team and a third rotation with the Commercial Legal team.


 


The summer intern will assist the regulatory team by providing research and operational support on US and foreign regulatory matters, with a particular focus on licensing and market access, protecting spectrum use for satellites, and tracking advocacy in national and international forums.


 


The summer itnern will also assist corporate and finance law team in matters relating to corporate governance, intercompany agreements, tax matters and financings.  Perform research on legal issues, as well as liaising and collaborating with other departments.


 


The summer intern will assist the Commercial Legal team by drafting and reviewing legal documents and playbooks, setting up templates, researching legal issues and assisting with revamping and updating various processes.


 


COMPETENCIES



  • Must have strong analytical ability and effective oral and written communications skills.

  • Essential to be willing to learn new concepts in law, regulation and technical matters.

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities highly desired.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE



  • Completion of first or second year of law school.
