The Trade Support Associate is responsible for supporting post-trade execution activities across a variety of asset classes. This role works closely with internal trading desks, operations teams, and external counterparties to ensure timely and accurate processing, reconciliation, and resolution of trade-related activity. This is an entry-level position designed to build foundational knowledge of middle office operations within a fast-paced financial services environment.

What you are good at

  • Support post-trade processing activities across multiple asset classes including equities, fixed income, mutual funds, ETFs, and other products
  • Monitor and assist in resolving trade exceptions, including trade breaks, fails, and discrepancies
  • Perform trade verification and reconciliation to ensure accuracy between internal systems and external counterparties
  • Assist in the trade confirmation process and escalate issues as needed
  • Communicate professionally with internal stakeholders (trading desks, financial advisors, operations teams) and external parties (brokers, custodians, counterparties)
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of trade activity and exception resolution
  • Identify potential operational risks or inefficiencies and escalate to senior team members
  • Participate in team projects, process improvements, and system enhancements as assigned
  • Adhere to firm policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

What you have
Required Experience:

  • 0–2 years of experience in financial services, operations, or related field (internships considered)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Basic understanding of financial markets and securities products is a plus

Required Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Willingness to learn and develop knowledge of middle office functions, systems, and industry practices
