| JOB SUMMARY |
The Journeyman Electrician’s primary duties are to plan, layout, install and/or repair cable, conduit and equipment in the most workmanlike manner possible. The Journeyman Electrician at Duro Electric performs duties primarily in a jobsite setting. This position will report directly to a designated Foreman or Superintendent or other designated field leaders. |

- Valid Colorado (or reciprocal) JW license.

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
|
- Follows all safety protocols set by general contractor, owners, and Duro Electric as well as participates in morning stretches, weekly took box talks, and all safety stand downs.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings as well as the ability to use industry-specific testing equipment.
- Ability to use industry-specific installation tools and has strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to follow verbal and written direction from designated site leaders and various Duro office staff members.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy required.
- Strong attendance record and the ability to be prompt and on time daily.
- Ability to follow all company procedures and protocols including the employee handbook and operations manual
- Ability to work and function in a dynamic teamwork environment.
- Must meet Duro’s minimum tool requirement and be proficient in use of required trade tools.
- Must be able and willing to travel to sites within assigned territory.

| JOB RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Follows all safety rules and regulations while on the job site and while operating company vehicles.
- Works independently or with field leader to plan installations that minimize wasted materials, provide appropriate accesses, avoid unsightly or hazardous installations and meet all appropriate electrical codes.
- Prepares sketches of proposed and/or installed materials, as necessary.
- Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit using the most appropriate tool for the particular function.
- Tests continuity of circuits to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components, using testing instruments, such as ohmmeter, Voltmeter, Amp meter, Meggar tester, and oscilloscope.
- Installs control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels, fastening in place with screws or bolts, using hand tools or power tools.
- Pulls wiring through conduit and other premanufactured cables such as Romex, MC Cable and Low Volt wiring.
- Prepares wire splices using industry best practices for the required splice-type.
- Installs control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays and circuit-breaker panels.
- Connects power cables to equipment and installs grounding leads.
- Observes functionality of installed equipment or system to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
- Repairs faulty equipment or systems.
- Expected to lead, train, and provide feedback for apprentices on the same job site.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

| OTHER REQUIREMENTS |
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable source of transportation
- Must complete 24 hours of CEUs every three (3) years and maintain their active JW license status.

| PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS |
- Completed accredited electrical apprenticeship program
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Forklift, boom lift, and scissor lift certifications.
- NICET 1 or 2.
- Denver Fire Alarm Installer License.
- NFPA70.
- CPR/First Aid certification.

- $33 - $52
