Job Description

Position Summary

As a Sales Account Manager, working with customers predominantly in Wales and where required UK. you will be responsible for developing long-term relationships with customers and overseeing sales. You should work to satisfy customers’ needs and requests, respond to their queries in a timely manner and aspire to deliver a positive customer experience. You will have excellent communication and negotiation skills and be customer service oriented.  

Ultimately, you should be able to grow our business by building successful, long-term client relationships with a key focus on delivering high standards of customer service and upselling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of customer accounts to achieve long-term success through growth and profitability.
  • Develop positive relationships with clients.
  • Act as the point of contact and handle customers’ individual needs
  • Generate new business using existing and potential customer networks
  • Develop new products and services to customers, working with internal sales team and our supply partners.
  • Introduce and develop new customers
  • Manage Tenders and Customer contracts
  • Resolve conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner
  • Lead and supervise customer service / inside sales team to ensure sales increase and customer satisfaction
  • Report on the status of accounts and transactions
  • Set and track sales account targets, aligned with company objectives
  • Monitor sales metrics (e.g., quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
  • Liaise with materials and warehouse team to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Suggest actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth.

Accounts / Quality Responsibilities

  • Resolving any invoice queries raised by the customer
  • Aiding our AR department when needed to get outstanding invoices paid
  • Review of any open quality concerns

Service and Warehouse Responsibilities

  • Liaising with warehouse to ensure orders are despatched on time to your customers
  • Resolving any goods in queries relating to orders you have placed with suppliers

Education, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Sales experience
  • Experience in similar customer sector preferred.
  • Effective Communicator
  • Excellent IT Skills
  • Ability to identify opportunities to maximise profitable sales.
  • Excellent Timekeeping & attendance
  • Hardworking and reliable.
