FSQA Supervisor

Summary/Objective:
Help oversee all aspects of policies and procedures on our SQF and Quality programs:
- Bulk/Raw materials and Finished Goods products testing and analysis.
- Receiving Storage & Transport (Incoming & Outgoing items).
- Complete EMP (Environmental Monitoring Program).
Serves as backup for all duties of the FS/QA Mgr.
Essential Functions:
Food Safety and Quality:
- Responsible for overseeing the verification of inspections on products, both In-Bound + Out-Bound:
o Verifying product�s quality and integrity � Approved supplier program, product condition, Mfg. code/date.
o Verifying trailer�s conditions, inspected by the S&R personnel.
o Conform with special customer requests (Temp-Tales, Forms, etc.)
- Conduct inspections on pre-requisite programs:
o Self-Audits.
o Glass & Brittle Plastics.
- Conducts duties from the Environmental Monitoring Program (EMPs):
o Plan and collect all environmental samples. Has direct contact with Laboratory service provider. Reports any out-of-compliance findings to management team, and part takes on the investigation aspects of these.
o Plan and collects Air Monitoring Environmental samples (PDAs).
o Plan and collect all Compressed Air samples, for air purity analysis.
o Plan and collect water samples from various locations, for Water Potability analysis.
- Take part in the monthly HACCP team meetings; as well as our annual Food Safety and SQF reviews.
- During the absence of the FS/QA Manager:
o Works with the Director of Operations to conduct the monthly HACCP team meetings; as well as our annual Food Safety and SQF reviews.
o Lead all regulatory, 3rd party, and customer-based audits.
o Organized all food safety equipment�s services, and calibration session based on manufacturer�s recommendations:
� Metal Detectors.
� Gas Analyzers.
� Gas Mixers.
� Nitrogen Generator.
o Monitor results, to allow Bulk/Raw materials into our facility and/or into conversion.
o Maintain �Test & Hold� program, as well as customer driving analytical (COAs program):
� Monitor results daily, for release of shipments (Outbound cargo required a QA/QC release).
- Conduct Product Analysis (Bulk/Raw Materials & Finished Goods)
Reports directly to the Food Safety/QA Manager.
Skills:
- Food safety management experience.
- Experience working with FDA Inspectors, as needed, when needed.
- Proficiency in SQF guidelines and requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Web browsing proficiency for research purposes.
- High level organizational skills.
- Ability to be able to work quickly/ accurately and to concentrate over a long period of time.
- Ability to communicate with a variety of personalities, be proactive and be a forward thinker.
- Able to multi-task and handle problems as they arise.
- Contributes to working in a team environment
- Maintains safe and clean working environment, by complying with rules, regulations and procedures.
- Other duties assigned as needed.
