In this role, The Project Manager is responsible for end-to-end delivery of multiple engineering and manufacturing projects, ensuring scope, schedule, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction objectives are achieved. Projects may include Heat Transfer Packages, Pump Packages, Boiler Plants, Chiller and Cooling Tower Plants, complex core product orders, HVAC Plant room Optimization and Control Systems. The role spans project initiation through final close-out, coordinating cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers in line with company project delivery processes and quality systems
Key Accountabilities
Initiation of ETO projects post securing the customer order
- Conduct contract reviews covering technical scope, delivery schedule, commercial terms, and compliance requirements.
- Acknowledge customer orders and establish project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
- Identify key stakeholders and establish communication and reporting frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, legislation, quality management systems, and internal governance processes.
- Initiate design risk assessments and high-level feasibility reviews
Preparation of detailed Project Planning
- Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, schedule, cost, resources, procurement, and risk management.
- Prepare and manage detailed project schedules using appropriate planning tools.
- Oversee preparation of initial design deliverables and client submissions.
- Plan procurement activities and coordinate with sourcing/buying teams for timely release of materials and services.
- Participate in capacity planning for engineering, supply chain, and production resources.
- Define project controls for variations, RFIs, delays, and change management
Lead the Project Execution
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, procurement, production, quality, and site activities.
- Oversee production and approval of all design deliverables, ensuring optimum functionality, cost efficiency, buildability, and maintainability.
- Issue clear instructions to production and suppliers in line with approved designs and schedules.
- Liaise with customers, consultants, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
- Coordinate factory testing, logistics, delivery, site commissioning, and training activities where required
Monitoring and Control throughout the project life cycle
- Monitor project progress against schedule (On Time Delivery), cost, quality, and gross margin targets.
- Manage project controls including RFIs, variations, delays, and risk mitigation actions.
- Conduct regular project cost reviews and ensure effective cost and cash-flow management.
- Prepare and present project status reports to internal management and customers, highlighting progress, risks, and issues.
- Ensure adherence to project milestone reviews, document control, and filing procedures
Customer Handover, Sign off & Project Close-Out
- Coordinate final testing, commissioning, and customer acceptance activities.
- Ensure completion and handover of all project documentation, including O&M manuals.
- Manage final invoicing, claims, and financial closure of projects.
- Conduct project close-out reviews to capture lessons learned and best practices.
- Ensure formal project handovers to the customer and internal service/support teams, achieving high levels of customer satisfaction
- Work with finance on monthly cost and revenue recognition.
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to undertake national travel and infrequent international travel (approximately 10–25%).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent the company professionally at all times.
- Thorough understanding of the company’s fluid management product portfolio and project delivery
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should bring:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic / relevant engineering discipline.
- Project management qualification (PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent) preferred.
- Experience in a project delivery environment, preferably in HVAC, building services, or industrial engineering projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and MS Project or equivalent planning tools
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- A self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently.
- Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to manage conflicts within various organizational structures.
