Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, and financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP. This role will work closely with the Controller and finance team and will play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial records. Prior experience in a manufacturing or operational environment is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries and support the month-end and year-end close processes
  • Perform detailed balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate variances
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies
  • Support financial statement preparation, including monthly and quarterly reporting packages
  • Assist with inventory, cost accounting, and variance analysis (as applicable)
  • Support fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals
  • Assist with audit preparation and respond to auditor requests
  • Participate in process improvements, documentation, and internal control enhancement
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, purchasing, and other departments

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Manufacturing, inventory, or cost accounting experience preferred but not required
  • Experience with ERP systems (manufacturing ERP experience a plus)
  • Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Manufacturing or industrial accounting environment
  • Exposure to inventory accounting, standard costing, or operational variance analysis
  • Prior audit support experience
  • CPA or CPA-track (a plus, but not required)
