The Opportunity
We are looking for an accomplished Assistant Vice President to join our Tax Compliance team as part of our financial services business in Dublin.
As part of the global expansion of the Maples Group’s financial services offering, our Dublin office opened its doors in 2008. Located in the city centre, a commitment to service excellence and investment in our people quickly established Dublin as a regional hub where our 200+ teammates deliver best-in-class solutions to clients worldwide alongside our colleagues in legal services.
Sub-teams and specialised areas within the Client Accounting team include Managing Agent, Tax Compliance, Regulatory Reporting, Aircraft Leasing, CLOs and General Population covering a mixture of various structured finance deals. Thus, providing excellent and diverse opportunities for specialisation in a particular area over time.
Your primary responsibilities include:
  • Responsibility for managing all Corporation Tax compliance matters for the Tax Compliance Team;
  • Review and preparation of Irish Corporation Taxreturns for a wide range of Irish funds and SPVs including aircraft leasing vehicles, RMBS and CLO vehicles;
  • Supervision and oversight of wider Client Accounting and Tax Compliance Team to ensure all Corporation Tax returns are filed and tax payments are made in a timely and accurate manner;
  • Managing client entity Revenue interactions in respect of Corporation Tax, including Revenue audits;
  • Assisting the Tax Compliance Team with billing processes, preparation of annual budgets and monthly reporting on performance to the Executive Management Committee;
  • Monitoring Corporation Tax developments and advising team members in respect of same, including providing training as appropriate;
  • Relationship management with clients, legal and tax advisors, auditors and other key parties;
  • Assisting with client proposals and oversight of the on-boarding of new clients.
What You Bring
In addition to a commitment to delivering superior candidate and stakeholder experiences:
  • 3 years+ Financial Services Tax experience, currently operating at Manager level;
  • AITI/CTA or CTC qualification needed;
  • ACA/ACCA qualification
  • Strong team management skills;
  • Ability to proactively monitor deadlines and client requirements;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong commercial awareness.
