CCG International Shanghai is seeking a highly motivated, team-focused, and detail-oriented Verification Specialist to join our multi-divisional global organization.
The Role
Our Verification Specialist – CGC Cards provides exceptional review and verification of customer submissions while maintaining production timelines with superior accuracy. As a Verification Specialist, you will play a critical role in the grading process by reviewing and verifying Trading Cards and Sports Cards. You will ensure the accuracy of database entries and grading label information, helping to maintain CGC Cards’ reputation for accuracy, consistency, and excellence.
Your attention to detail, familiarity with trading card products, and proficiency in research and data entry will directly support our commitment to delivering world-class results to collectors worldwide.
In This Job, You Will Be Responsible For:
Verification & Validation
- Perform detailed verification and validation of Trading Card and Sports Card submissions, or post-grading label creation.
- Ensure all item details—such as player or character name, set name, year, edition, language, card number, and other key identifiers—are accurately recorded in the company’s systems or printed on grading labels.
Data Entry
- Accurately input item-specific data into proprietary systems, including card descriptions, identifiers, and other attributes that make each collectible unique.
Research & Identification
- Utilize internal databases, reference materials, and industry knowledge to identify, verify, and confirm the authenticity and attributes of Trading Cards and Sports Cards.
- Escalate complex or questionable submissions as required.
Problem Solving
- Collaborate with Customer Service and internal teams to resolve discrepancies between customer submission forms and received items.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure the accuracy and consistency of all data entries across multiple systems and maintain CGC Cards quality standards throughout the verification process.
What You Bring to the Role:
Trading Card Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of Trading Cards and/or Sports Cards, including familiarity with major manufacturers, sets, parallels, inserts, and grading-relevant attributes.
Data Entry & Receiving
- Prior experience in receiving, verification, or data entry is preferred but not required.
Attention to Detail
- Exceptional focus on accuracy and a strong eye for detail when reviewing and verifying collectibles.
Research Skills
- Ability to research and identify card-specific details using internal tools and reference sources.
Organizational Skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to balance speed and accuracy in a high-volume production environment.
Communication
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively partner with supervisors, managers, colleagues across the production line, and cross-functional teams.
