Job Description

Looking for a role where your organization and people skills truly make a difference?

At Morningstar Living in Nazareth, PA, a premier senior living community serving the region since 1988, our Transportation & Scheduling Coordinators play a key role in supporting residents’ independence and daily experiences. In this position, you’ll coordinate transportation for appointments, outings, and events—while working closely with residents, families, and internal teams to ensure everything runs smoothly.

This is a part-time position, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with the opportunity to pick up additional hours as needed. The role also includes occasional driving responsibilities, offering a hands-on way to connect with residents and support their day-to-day needs.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of logistics, communication, and leadership, and takes pride in creating a seamless, supportive experience for those we serve.

Why You’ll Love This Role:

  • Consistent weekday schedule
  • Opportunity to pick up additional hours based on need
  • Meaningful, resident-focused work in a supportive community
  • Access to employee perks and discounts through Perks at Work
  • On-site fitness center
  • Competitive wages
  • A positive, team-oriented environment with strong leadership support

What will I do in the role of Transportation & Scheduling Coordinator?

  • Coordinate transportation by the request of residents and staff members for medical appointments, personal trips, and recreational opportunities.  Ensure that all scheduled trips have the correct departure times, addresses, directions, and vehicle and driver assigned.
  • Transport residents to and from various functions such as medical appointments, community functions and resident entertainment events.  Remain with residents until they return to campus unless resident is independent and does not require assistance or an escort is present.
  • Communicate with other departments to ensure that all medical appointments, personal trips, and recreational opportunities are met.
  • Coordinate other courier services.
  • Hire, orient, train, supervise, and evaluate Transportation Drivers.
  • Prepare employee schedules to accommodate transportation requests.
  • Monitor and ensure that the registration on all Maintenance and Transportation vehicles is current.
  • Monitor and ensure that inspections and preventive maintenance on all Maintenance and Transportation vehicles are occurring. Keep records of vehicle maintenance schedules; notify the supervisor of any repairs or routine maintenance needed.

What do I need in the role of Transportation & Scheduling Coordinator?

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Passenger Endorsement with CDL License preferred
  • Must have or be willing to maintain current CPR certification.
  • Must maintain defensive driver training requirement biennially.
  • Must have, as a minimum, three (3) years’ experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule according to residents’ needs.  Willing to be “on call” and have a telephone at place of residence and/ or cell phone.
  • Willing to work flexible hours including some evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
