Job Description

Job Summary:
Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, COTA will provide therapy to eligible students in Extended School Year specialized classrooms and/or itinerant locations according to the specific needs set forth in their IEPs.

 Essential Functions:

  • Ultimate outcomes are to promote/facilitate student participation in their educational placement.

Supervisory Responsibility: No direct supervisory responsibilities.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands. The employee is frequently required to walk; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee may be required to stand for long periods, and to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

June 24, 2026, to July 30, 2026

Monday through Thursday

Flexible schedules available

Travel:   Travel may be required for in home and itinerant instruction throughout Bucks County. Mileage is reimbursed in accordance with current IRS guidelines and rates.


Level of Degree:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant (from an accredited college/university)
  • Pennsylvania Occupational Therapist Assistant License
  • NBCOT certification

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • School based and/or pediatric experience.
  • Ability to work independently.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable):  Citizenship or work authorization to work in the United States required.
