Fairbanks Local Schools is seeking a part-time Special Educational Aide for the 2026-27 school year. Fairbanks is located in Central Ohio, serving roughly 1,100 students in grades PK-12.
This position will be working with special education students in our district. This can be one-on-one with a student, or working in a classroom setting.
Hours are Monday to Friday from 8:35 am to 3 pm with an unpaid 30 minute lunch break (5.92 hours per day). This is a 186 day contract per year, with paid holidays included. Starting pay is $16.73, but can be awarded step increases with applicable experience. This position also qualifies for a $1,500 yearly stipend.
The building assignment has not been determined for this position, but will be assigned over the summer. It is subject to change, as needed, to accommodate student and staffing needs. All three school buildings are located on one campus.
Part-time employees are eligible for life insurance, vision insurance, SERS retirement plan, and paid time off.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or higher
Obtain an Educational Aide Permit through the Ohio Department of Education
Acceptable Ohio BCI & FBI background checks
