RQ Construction is looking for a Plumbing Superintendent to support large-scale military construction projects in the Norfolk, VA region. In this role, you'll take ownership of plumbing and piping installation from planning through execution, ensuring systems are installed safely, correctly, and on schedule.

What You'll Be Responsible For
- Managing day-to-day plumbing operations across multiple crews and subcontractors
- Coordinating mechanical work with other trades to maintain project flow
- Upholding safety standards and ensuring compliance with EM-385 and OSHA requirements
- Verifying installation quality and alignment with project plans and specifications
- Supporting overall site leadership in maintaining schedule and productivity goals
- Addressing field issues quickly to avoid delays or rework
- Building a professional, team-oriented jobsite culture
Background We're Looking For
- At least 5 years of leadership experience in commercial plumbing (Foreman or Superintendent level)
- Experience managing plumbing scopes of $400K+ on active construction projects
- 3+ years working in the field as a commercial plumber
- Military, government, or large commercial project experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Design-Build delivery methods is advantageous
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook; BIM experience is a plus
Education & Certifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Trade school training or construction-related education preferred
- OSHA 30, CPR, First Aid, EM-385, and STS certifications required (or willingness to obtain)
