Pune, India.

Key Responsibilities:-

• Oversee and manage general cargo and project shipments, ensuring complete operational execution (including technical aspects) along with cost control and profitability monitoring.
•  Assist in responding and compiling the RFQs in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
• Serving as a point of contact for clients, partners and other offices for any project operations and spot shipments.
• Handling shipments of all kinds of cargo, incl. out-of-gauge and heavy lift cargo across the globe.
• Coordinating and negotiating with subcontractors, sourcing competitive rates from potential subcontractors and reviewing and posting invoices and billing to customers.
• Calculating and monitoring shipment profits.
• Supporting sales team in writing up offers and proposals to clients.
• Supporting management (local and regional) in reporting, etc.

Skills, Knowledge & expertise:-

•  Minimum 3-5 years of work experience in freight forwarding industry
• Proven track record of successfully executed logistics operations, coordination and management
• Know-how in freight forwarding; experience in ocean freight, incl. break bulk, is an added advantage
• Familiarization with current software packages such as Cargowise (CW1) etc.
• Good organizational skills, customer-focused with attention to detail
• Excellent communications skills (cross-functional and cross-cultural)
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
