Our Bronze and Marble team in Glendale is seeking a Maintenance Worker 2 to join our department. This role supports the construction, restoration, and preservation of distinguished memorials and architectural features throughout our outdoor gardens and indoor facilities, including mausoleums. The position involves hand-on work with concrete, marble, granite, stone, and bronze materials in a setting that requires precision, care, and respect.

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze simple drawings, specifications, instructions, and general requirements to determine the scope of work.
- Consult directly with the supervisor to plan work assignments, methods, tools, and material requirements.
- Prepare job sites by protecting surrounding surfaces and safely removing fixtures prior to construction, repair, or restoration work.
- Assist visitors, guests, and property owners by providing directions and general assistance as needed.
- Place and remove floral arrangements in vases on a routine basis, including during holidays and special occasions.
- Identify and report maintenance or repair needs observed during the course of the day to the supervisor.
- Assist with concrete, masonry, marble, granite, and stone fabrication, restoration, and installation projects throughout gardens and facilities.
- Measure, cut, shape, finish, and repair stone and concrete materials using hand and power tools.
- Assist with installation and restoration of statues, memorials, plaques, benches, vases, and crypt or niche fronts.
- Perform stone and surface cleaning, sealing, caulking, crack repair, and general restoration work.
Requirements
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Valid CA Driver License
- Minimum of 1 year of intermediate-level experience in commercial masonry, concrete construction, or stone-related maintenance OR completion of applicable trade school coursework with required hand-on experience.
- Ability to lift 100 pounds.
- Ability to read and interpret basic drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
- Demonstrate professionalism, tact, and effective communication when working with supervisors, coworkers, vendors, and the public.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships throughout the course of assigned duties.
- Previous Cemetery/Mortuary experience preferred.
- Ability to follow safety rules, procedures, and building code requirements at all times.
- Ability to safely operate or learn to operate construction and stone fabrication equipment, including saws, grinders, polishers, lifts, and scaffolding.
Drug Testing Policy
Prior to beginning employment, all job applicants who receive a job offer will be required to voluntarily submit to a drug screening test conducted by a laboratory designated by Forest Lawn. The drug screening method is a hair collection test that will detect the use of illegal drugs within the past 90 days. A positive drug test may result in the withdrawal of the job offer.
