    PAY RANGE: Licensed Salary Schedule, $60,004 - $124,634 Annual Salary

    CALENDAR: 190 Days

    Welby Community School of the Arts, PK-6, is an Expeditionary Learning (EL) school that uses the arts to inspire a love for learning and build a solid foundation for future academic success in each child.     QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Colorado teaching license with an appropriate Elementary endorsement required.
    • Additional endorsement in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education preferred, *or willingness to pursue endorsement or equivalent coursework. *
    • K-3 teachers must provide documentation of evidence-based literacy training, Read Act Designation, per CDE requirements.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS:

    1. Providing developmentally appropriate activities using a variety of materials and resources for children to explore and manipulate in order to meet the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of the children.
    2. Providing a Balanced Literacy program to build foundational literacy and language skills based on Expeditionary Learning Curriculum modules.
    3. Planning and implementing an active and engaging integrated content block to build background knowledge in science and social studies while strengthening literacy skills.
    4. Implementing a variety of screening and assessment tools appropriate for young children.
    5. Planning and implementing differentiated strategies to meet the academic and language needs of each child.
    6. Establishing and consistently maintaining standards of conduct that promote personal responsibility and reflect respect for self and others.

     

    TRAINING: 

    • Mandatory Title IX training is required by the Colorado Department of Education and for all public school employees. Title IX training addresses harassment, discrimination, and bullying. Completing these mandatory Title IX training courses ensure we are meeting state requirements while continuing to foster a culture of safety and belonging across our schools.
    • You will have two mandatory training courses that must be completed within 30 days of your date of hire and are required to be completed on your own time.
