A&R Group is preparing to open the new Hampton Inn Gulfport in April 2026, and we are seeking dependable, detail‑oriented Housepersons to support our Housekeeping team. This role is essential to maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall guest experience throughout the hotel.

Role Overview
The Houseperson plays a key role in ensuring the hotel remains clean, organized, and welcoming. This position supports Room Attendants, maintains public areas, and upholds safety and cleanliness standards across the property.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Room Attendants with linen processing and room cleaning tasks
- Maintain cleanliness of hotel corridors, elevator landings, and all public areas
- Ensure guest floor closets and room attendant carts are fully stocked with supplies, linen, and amenities
- Communicate with the Housekeeping team regarding task status throughout the day
- Report damage, maintenance needs, safety concerns, or unusual activity to management
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest questions or concerns
- Follow all safety procedures related to passkeys, guestroom entry, and security
- Turn in all Lost & Found items with proper documentation
- Ensure no occupied room is left open or unattended during service
- Follow all brand standards, policies, and procedures
- Serve as a positive representative of A&R Group’s culture, mission, and values
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills
- Excellent communication and customer‑service skills
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment
- Ability to work a varied schedule, including mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, and move throughout the hotel for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and perform repeated movements of arms and hands
- Professional, ethical, reliable, and a strong team player
- Quick learner with a strong work ethic
