Overview
We are seeking a full-time Registered Dietitian to join our Food and Nutrition department
Responsibilities
- Screen, assess, & monitor patients for nutritional risk by reviewing medical records, conducting interviews, & evaluating the effectiveness of nutrition therapy.
- Develop/documents individualized nutrition care plans, including diet prescriptions and feeding recommendations, in collaboration with physicians
- Provide nutrition education to patients, families, and groups on therapeutic diets, drug/nutrient interactions, and coordinate care communication across staff.
- Advise food service personnel on meal planning, menu modifications, and development of specialized tube feeding and oral supplement recipes.
- Supervise dietetic assistants, mentor nutrition interns/students, participate in committees and quality assurance projects, and maintainscompliance with departmental policies and professional standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition or related field. Must be a Registered Dietician. Membership in the American Dietetic Association. 1-year experience in health care preferred. Knowledge of basic and therapeutic nutrition, food nutrition values, and regional ethnic and religious food preferences.
Speaks, reads, and writes English to the extent required by the position.
