Job Description

Job Title: Finance Analyst 
Employment type: Full-time 

Location: Remote. This is a remote role open to candidates currently residing in the United States and authorized to work here. We have a preference for applicants based in: AL, CO, FL, IL, IN, MA, MN, MS, MO, MT, NC, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, or VA. 

Industry: Construction 

Reports to: Finance Director 
Salary Range: $50,000–$75,000/year (based on experience) 

Summary of action:  

We are seeking an Excel assassin in-training – someone motivated to master Microsoft Excel and committed to producing reports with accurate data that can be relied upon across the organization. This role will focus on maintaining and improving monthly reports, analyzing data, and reconciling variances to support business operations. 

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable working with data. Success in this role requires attention to detail, curiosity, and a willingness to jump in wherever needed. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare and maintain recurring reports  

  • Build, update, and improve Excel-based reporting tools  

  • Analyze data sets and identify trends, gaps, and variances  

  • Investigate discrepancies and support reconciliation efforts  

  • Ensure accuracy and consistency across financial and operational reports  

  • Support ad hoc analysis and special projects  

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to provide data-driven insights  

  • Continuously look for opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and clarity
