    Minimum Qualifications:

     

    1. Valid Ohio Administrative Specialist or Supervisory certificate/license appropriate to the administrative position.
    2. Master's degree or higher in Educational Administration or Special Education.
    3. Minimum of five years' experience in special education/related service as a teacher or administrator.
    4. Knowledge, understanding and experience working with federal and state education law and implementation of the Ohio Improvement Process and best practices.
    5. Advanced knowledge of student identification and assessment.
    6. Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
    7. Must possess exemplary leadership qualities and strong work ethic.
    8. Demonstrates an exceptional attendance record.
    9. OTES 2.0 credentialed, OPES preferred.
    10. Successful BCII and FBI background check.


      Additional Desired Qualification:
       

    11. Experience and training in Social Emotional Learning (SEL).
    12. Advanced knowledge of characteristics of students with special needs.
    13. Experience in IAT/MTSS and child find activities.
    14. Demonstrates excellent problem-solving abilities.
    15. Experience in program development.
    16. Demonstrated collaboration and consultation skills.
    17. Experience conducting in-services and professional development activities.
    18. Knowledge of local report card, local assessment and other data sources related to achievement of students with disabilities (SWD).


      Duties:
       

    19. Coordinate/assist in the identification of students with disabilities (SWD).
    20. Coordinate the delivery of service to students with disabilities (SWD) with building and district personnel.
    21. Gather and analyze data related to achievement of students with disabilities (SWD).
    22. Promote, develop and coordinate inclusive programs for students with disabilities.
    23. Serve as district representative and facilitator at IEP and MFE meetings.
    24. Coordinate the delivery of services to resident students with disabilities attending other districts.
    25. Supervise and evaluate all personnel, direct service and related service personnel and assist in the determination of goals to improve performance.
    26. Conduct and facilitate instructional rounds for certificated staff members, providing feedback, as appropriate.
    27. Assist in child find and child count activities.
    28. Coordinate the IAT/MTSS process.
    29. Conduct in-services and professional development activities related to delivery of services to SWD.
    30. Assist in the development of department goals.
    31. Work cooperatively with teachers, principals and district staff to improve outcomes for SWD.
    32. Consult and collaborate with local social service agencies as needed.
    33. Consult and collaborate with parents.
    34. Abide by the rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the Warren City School District Board of Education.
    35. Perform all other duties as may be assigned by the Superintendent, Associate Superintendent, Director of Special Education and/or his/her designee.


      Salary:  Salary Table C, Less than 52 weeks
                   Schedule:  July to June, 224 days annually
