The Encinitas Union School District (EUSD) invites qualified and dedicated educators to apply for the Teacher on Special Assignment (ToSA) for Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) for the 2026–2027 school year. This position offers an opportunity to provide site-based leadership at Mission Estancia, supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of a comprehensive MTSS framework. The ToSA will work collaboratively with staff to strengthen systems that support students academically, behaviorally, and socially-emotionally. Key responsibilities include supporting targeted intervention programs, coaching and partnering with staff, and collaborating with district teams to ensure practices are effective, equitable, and implemented with fidelity. The ideal candidate is student-centered, collaborative, and committed to using data-informed practices to support all learners.

EUSD is located in North San Diego County along the coast. It serves nine (9) Kindergarten through sixth grade schools, and one (1) pre-school for students with special needs.

The selection process will include application screening, pre-interview reference checks, a performance task, and a panel interview. Panel interviews for selected candidates are scheduled for Tuesday, May 26, 2026. All required application materials must be submitted and complete in order to be considered.

NOTE: This posting may be closed before May 17, 2026 based on applicant pool/district needs.

Salary is based on 15+ units above bachelors degree and up to nine years of teaching experience in a public school setting.

Additional stipends available:
$1,500 for Doctorate
$1,000 for Masters
$1,000 for National Board Certification
$1,000 for Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Successful candidates will be required to pass fingerprint background check, physical and drug screen and provide negative Tuberculin Skin Test result prior to working in Encinitas Union School District. Fingerprinting and TB test at applicant's expense. Physical/drug screen paid by EUSD. An original Social Security Card is required at the time of hire.
