Team Overview
The REGAL (Real Estate, Gaming & Lodging) team in London is a leading sector‑focused advisory platform advising corporates, sponsors and investors across EMEA on M&A, capital raising and strategic advisory transactions. The team works closely with colleagues across Jefferies’ global REGAL franchise and broader investment banking platform.
Role Overview
Jefferies is seeking an Associate to join its REGAL team in London. The Associate will play a key role in the execution of M&A and strategic advisory mandates, working closely with senior bankers, clients and global counterparts across the full transaction lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the execution of M&A, sell‑side, buy‑side and strategic advisory assignments across the real estate, gaming and lodging sectors
- Build and review detailed financial models, including valuation analyses (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions and LBO where relevant)
- Prepare high‑quality client materials, including pitchbooks, information memoranda and management presentations
- Coordinate and manage transaction processes, including due diligence, data rooms and interactions with external advisers
- Conduct in‑depth industry, market and company analysis to support transaction execution and business development
- Mentor and oversee Analysts, ensuring high standards of output and execution discipline
- Contribute to idea generation and origination initiatives within the REGAL franchise
Language Skills
- Fluency in French or German is advantageous, reflecting the team’s active cross‑border deal flow across EMEA.
Candidate Profile
- 3+ years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance or a closely related role
- Strong execution experience with credible exposure to M&A and advisory transactions
- Excellent financial modelling, valuation and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail, judgement and ability to manage multiple workstreams under pressure
- Clear, confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills
- Demonstrated interest in, or exposure to, the real estate, gaming and/or lodging sectors
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast‑paced, international environment
