Description

The Banquet Server will be responsible for providing prompt, courteous service to all guests at events assigned.

Other responsibilities include, but not limited to:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists with the complete setup and breakdown of the event.
• Assists the set-up of linen, silver, glassware and china for a scheduled event.
• Monitors tables closely and be attentive to guest’s needs.
• Clears empty plates and glasses from tables.
• Relays food and beverage orders.
• Maintains a high level of cleanliness and awareness of sanitary practices.
• Anticipates guests’ needs and exceed customer service expectations.
• Maintains composure in a fast-paced environment.
• Relays important information about orders, allergies and special requests to the appropriate person.
• Responds urgently and appropriately to any concerns.
• Presents in professional appearance and mannerisms.
• Assists co-workers as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Previous catering experience preferred.
• Effective communication in English, both verbal and written form in a professional manner.
• Must present a neat and professional appearance with good hygiene.
• Flexibility to work various shifts
• Ability to stand and walk for entire hour shifts.
• Frequently lift/carry up to 25 lbs.
• Occasionally lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• The ability to climb and descend stairs carrying trays or other items is a requirement.
• The ability to bend, stoop and kneel is a must.
