optimising the supply chain processes to ensure efficient and effective
operations. This role involves coordinating with various internal and external
stakeholders, including commercial, customer service, HSEQR, finance,
management, suppliers and customers to meet the company's supply chain
objectives.
• Manage and take full ownership of the local supply
chain function.
• Implement,
execute, and monitor the IMCD Global Supply Chain Policy, the associated
guidelines, procedures, and instructions.
• Comply with the SC controls and requirements from the
IMCD Risk and Control framework.
• Drive collaboration with commercial, customer service
and management to align supply chain activities with business goals.
2. Logistics and Distribution and 3PL management
• Oversee
end-to-end logistics execution via 3PLs, including customs clearance,
documentation, and timely resolution of operational issues.
• Manage 3PL
providers to ensure timely, cost-effective transportation and warehousing
operations.
• Ensure warehouse
operations comply with business requirements and proper product handling
standards.
• Oversee 3PL
contracts, including alignment with regional teams for changes and renewals.
• Lead annual rate
negotiations with 3PLs based on performance and business reviews.
• Partner with
commercial teams to support business needs and new projects.
• Conduct regular
performance reviews with 3PLs/transporters against defined KPIs.
• Monitor and
report supply chain performance, identify gaps, and provide actionable insights
to management.
3. Process Optimisation and Initiatives
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement
best practices to enhance supply chain efficiency, including but not limited to
customs clearance and inbound efficiency.
• Utilise Salesforce, EDI and other digital tools to
streamline supply chain operations.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock
levels and minimise excess inventory. Ensure inventory levels are within the
contractual inventory holding target.
• Implement inventory control measures to reduce costs
and improve operational efficiency.
• Partner with regional and/or local teams to drive
continuous improvements and rollout of IMCD’s initiatives
4. Compliance and Risk Management
• Ensure IMCD’s supply chain processes and documentation are
compliant with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks within the
supply chain, including disruptions and delays.
• Keep abreast of market trends and global supply chain
updates.
• Partner with relevant departments (ie. HSEQR, customer
service, product managers, etc.) to review and resolve NCR issues
5. On Sustainable Procurement
• Take full ownership of the downstream supplier screening approach as
described in the Global Sustainable Procurement policy.
• Initiate and drive CO2 emission reduction projects.
Any other
ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
• Experience in Chemical, Pharma, Specialty ingredient as a big plus
• Has prior experience in managing 3PL.
• Excellent knowledge of local logistic market.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software, ERP tools.
• Knowledgeable in import & export (Incoterms, Invoice and Packing List).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Excellent in Leadership and team development.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously; handles competing priorities and pressures well.
