Job Description

Anchor Fabrication has immediate openings for highly motivated Sandblaster’s to join our Coatings department. 

 

Position Summary:

The Sandblaster’s role is to use various blast media and blasting equipment to prepare parts and assemblies for coating, meeting or exceeding customer specs and productivity requirements by ensuring correct media and equipment settings. They are highly motivated and have a desire to work in a fast paced, quality centered environment. This role is vital to ensuring our customers’ needs are consistently met, promoting our company’s continued strong national growth.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Internal Relationships: All Departments

External Relationships: Occasional and incidental contact with customers or prospective customers

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare metal for painting, which includes sandblasting, and wiping down steel to remove oil and cutting fluids.
  • Use measurement devices to measure & record sandblast profile
  • Perform daily maintenance routines on blast equipment
  • Clean blast booth, lights, and change filters
  • Follow safe operating and lifting procedures
  • Wear proper safety equipment
  • Other duties as assigned
