Salary Range: $16.90/hr – Minimum Wage Position plus Service Charge/Gratuities. The Banquet Server is responsible for the set-up and serving of food and beverages to guests at all banquet functions, according to the resort standards.
Essential Functions

- Must participate in all resort required meetings and trainings.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag.
- Know how to read the Banquet Event Order (BEO) and be familiar with the menu of the assigned function.
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.
- Adhere to Silverado Resorts cash handling policy.
- Must participate in all resort required meetings and training.
- Comply with Silverado Resort Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient resort operations.
- Adhere to the Banquets schedule at all times.
- Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
- Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs.
- Report broken and damaged equipment.
- Perform preparatory tasks and side work duties to ensure that guests are served promptly and efficiently.
- Set all tables according to resort standards.
- Maintain the banquet storeroom in a neat and orderly manner, stocked with any and all appropriate supplies necessary for food service functions.
- Clean up banquet space after the completion of the function and ensure that all equipment and supplies are stored and re-stocked properly.
- Prepare room according to BEO and the various meal functions.
- Follow all money handling procedures when serving the guest.
- Know the menu items for each function served and be able to give accurate descriptions and potential allergens.
- Abide by all resort policies and safety rules.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Qualifications
- In compliance with California laws, Responsible Beverage Service and Food Handlers Certification are required.
- Must be able to work under pressure in a faced paced environment Certification are required.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Working Conditions and Schedule
- Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
- Medium work – Exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally (and/or with assistance), and/or frequently or constantly lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing 20 pounds.
- Must be able to stand and work for extended periods of time during customary service hours.
- Must be able to bend, stoop or reach as needed.
- Must be able to work in an outdoor environment with varying temperatures.
- This role requires operating a golf cart.
