Job Description

To strengthen our commercial presence in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, we are looking for a Sales Manager who combines commercial drive, market understanding, and people leadership with a pragmatic, hands-on mindset.

In Slovakia and the Czech Republic, Yokogawa operates with compact and specialized commercial teams working closely with customers across diverse industrial sectors.

Your Role

In this position, you are responsible for shaping and executing the regional sales direction across Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
You translate commercial objectives into practical plans, priorities, and daily actions while ensuring a consistent and professional customer approach.

You will:

  • Coordinate and lead small commercial teams across two countries (approx. 10 direct reports)
  • Bring structure to pipeline management, planning, and commercial focus
  • Oversee progress of complex opportunities and project-driven sales trajectories
  • Coach and support colleagues in strengthening their commercial capabilities
  • Take an active role in selected strategic accounts and high-impact negotiations
  • Safeguard healthy order intake, revenue, and margin performance
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, service, and international Yokogawa teams

This is a player-coach role, balancing leadership with personal commercial involvement and cross-functional coordination.

Commercial activities in this region are strongly project-driven and involve multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Success requires short communication lines, clear prioritization, and a manager who stays close to both customers and team members.

You will operate with a high degree of autonomy while contributing to the long-term commercial continuity of the region.

Your Profile

You are an experienced commercial professional with natural leadership qualities and affinity for technical or industrial environments.
You are comfortable navigating both strategic and operational responsibilities.

You recognize yourself in the following:

  • Proven experience in B2B sales within project-oriented or solution-driven environments
  • Exposure to multiple industries or market segments
  • Experience coordinating or guiding small commercial teams
  • Strong skills in pipeline management, prioritization, and stakeholder alignment
  • Comfortable taking ownership of complex customer relationships
  • Ability to translate strategy into actionable commercial plans
  • Fluent in English and Slovak & Czech

Industry specialization is less important than your ability to lead complex commercial trajectories and adapt across sectors.
