GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Performs minimally invasive radiologic procedures meant to diagnose and treat various diseases.
Job Duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Operates radiologic imaging equipment to assist in guiding small surgical instruments through the body during treatment procedures.
• Monitors patient condition during interventional procedures, alerting the physician of any complications.
• Adheres to standard operating procedures and departmental policies.
• Positions patients and imaging equipment prior to operations. Recommends new equipment and equipment modifications.
• Creates and maintains reports regarding patient data and interventional treatment records.
• Other duties as assigned.
LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY
• Performs work under general supervision.
• Handles moderately complex issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
• Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
• Associate’s degree; no exceptions.
• Completion of American Registry of Radiologic Technologist approved educational program.
• No additional experience requirement.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
• Must be currently certified in Radiography and Interventional Radiology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Must possess or obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within ninety (90) days of hire and maintained throughout employment.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
• Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for childcare.
