Who we are looking for:
We are seeking a highly organized and technically proven Data Science Analyst to help our Retail Distribution team. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates with a solid foundation in data analysis, an interest in financial services, and exposure to modern data tools and emerging AI capabilities.
A core focus of this role will be the accurate and timely delivery of daily sales and distribution reporting, along with maintaining CRM and sales data systems that underpin our retail business. The role will also provide opportunities to explore automation and AI-driven enhancements to reporting and data workflows.
What you will do:
Produce and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly sales and distribution reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Maintain and update data within the firm’s CRM system (e.g., Salesforce), including client, intermediary, and sales activity records
Assist with ongoing data entry, validation, and reconciliation within internal sales reporting systems
Query and extract data from cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake
Assist in developing automated reporting solutions and exploring AI/ML techniques to improve data workflows and insights generation
Partner with sales, relationship management, and marketing teams to fulfill reporting and analytics needs
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance data quality across systems
Troubleshoot data discrepancies and ensure consistency across multiple data sources
Document reporting processes, data definitions, and system workflows
The qualities you should have:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field
0–2 years of relevant experience (internships included) in data science, analytics, or financial services
Effective proficiency in Excel (data manipulation, pivot tables, formulas)
Working knowledge of SQL for querying and managing datasets
Familiarity with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms
Exposure to CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) or sales reporting tools is a plus
Basic comprehension or coursework in data science, machine learning, or AI concepts
Programming experience in SQL, Python, or similar languages
Exposure to data analysis libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy) or basic machine learning workflows
Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau
Knowledge of asset management distribution channels (e.g., financial advisors, broker-dealers, RIAs)
Interest in applying AI to business problems such as forecasting, segmentation, or automation
Base Salary range: $75,000 to $85,000. In addition, this role is eligible for an annual incentive bonus. Compensation may vary based upon, but not limited to – the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
