Sales Representative

Compact Construction Equipment Specialist

 

Department: Sales

Reports to: Sales Manager 

Supervises: None

Location:      Flint Ag & Turf AOR

Purpose:

Sells new and used equipment available to the sales professional with a specialized focus on Compact Construction Equipment. 

Responsibilities:

  1. Professionally represents the company while building sales relationships with current and potential customers in the defined sales area 
  2. Work together with other sales staff and departments when specialist knowledge is necessary 
  3. Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment
  4. Monitors competitive activity and products and timely communications to management accordingly
  5. Maintains all customer information in assigned territory for sales management 
  6. Knows and follows the defined sales process of the company
  7. Maintains assigned company vehicles and equipment 
  8. Assists with the preparation and execution of customer events and trade shows
  9. Conducts equipment field demonstrations 
  10. Monitors trends in customer’s business activities and timely communications to management
  11. Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods
  12. Attends applicable sales training events, seminars, and meetings
  1. Requirements:
  2. Knowledge of equipment operational practices preferred 
  3. Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
  4. Ability to communicate professionally on the phone, in person, and through email
  5. Ability to work flexible hours
  6. Excellent customer relationship skills
  7. Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports
  8. High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
  9. Outgoing personality and self-motivated
