The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience working in cloud environments, is comfortable using Infrastructure as Code, and understands how modern platform teams use version control and CI/CD to deliver reliable infrastructure.
Cloud Infrastructure
- Support and maintain cloud infrastructure primarily on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with exposure to AWS environments.
- Work with existing cloud architectures for compute, networking, storage, and identity.
- Assist with provisioning, configuration, and operational support of cloud services.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure using Terraform.
- Use version control best practices to manage infrastructure code.
- Contribute to automation pipelines using GitHub Actions and GitLab CI/CD.
- Help improve repeatability, reliability, and visibility of infrastructure deployments.
- Support Kubernetes clusters and workloads in cloud environments.
- Deploy and manage applications and platform services using Helm.
- Assist with cluster operations, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Apply best practices around resource usage, scaling, and availability.
- Work in shared repositories using GitHub and GitLab.
- Create and review pull/merge requests.
- Collaborate with other engineers using branching strategies and code review processes.
- Write and maintain scripts and tools using Bash, Python, NodeJS, or Go.
- Use scripting to automate common operational and deployment tasks.
- Monitor infrastructure and platform health.
- Participate in incident troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis.
- Maintain documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
- 3–6 years of experience in Cloud, Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering roles.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms, preferably GCP, with some AWS exposure.
- Strong working experience with Terraform.
- Practical experience supporting Kubernetes environments.
- Experience using GitHub and GitLab for version control and CI/CD.
- Familiarity with Helm for Kubernetes deployments.
- Experience with at least one scripting or programming language:
- Bash
- Python
- NodeJS
- Go
- Experience with secrets management tools (e.g., Vault).
- Exposure to DevOps or SRE practices.
- Experience working in shared platform or managed‑services teams.
- Cloud or Kubernetes certifications.
- Not an architect role — you’ll work from existing patterns and standards.
- Not a pure DevOps role — focus is infrastructure and platform operations.
- Not an entry‑level role — hands‑on experience is required.
- Reliable Terraform‑based infrastructure changes with minimal rework.
- Stable Kubernetes workloads and clean Helm deployments.
- Effective use of GitHub and GitLab for collaborative engineering.
- Reduced manual effort through scripting and automation.
- Clear documentation and operational ownership.
