Description
The Parts Warehouse/ Parts Counter Advisor Trainee will be responsible for working in the warehouse as well as learning how to look up, sell and specify parts on parts catalogs. The individual will learn to scan, organize, stock parts as well as look up and learn how to sell parts to technicians and customers for their vehicles. This is a training position that will have all training provided while on the job as well as online Nissan training sites.
The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, an unrestricted driver's license, and a clean driving record. Strong communication and customer service skills required as well a a great positive attitude and willingness to help and learn.
Responsibilities
- Ensures safe and on-time delivery of parts to the dealership using company vehicles and following all company procedures and standards
- Complies with and enforces all safety policies and procedures
- Maintains cleanliness of vehicles and performs routine maintenance tasks
- Obeys posted speed limits at all times and all other rules of the road
- Completes any reports or logs
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience preferred
- Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
- Must have valid drivers license for a minimum of three years
- Ability to drive small cargo van for some deliveries.
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn DMS software.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under pressure.
- Fast paced environment and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Highly professional and dependable
- Safety and customer service oriented
The ideal candidate possesses the below:
- Eager to be active, familiar with warehousing, and has materials handling experience.
- Safely and efficiently navigating the warehouse
- Assist in preparation for, and completion of inventory
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies
- Enter receipt of packages by signature
- Keep packages and warehouse orderly and clean
- Receives and stocks products from manufacturers and wholesalers
- Ensures accurate quantities of product were received, and compares appropriate paperwork, or what's displayed on hand-held scanner, and matching product numbers
- Must be physically capable of bending, stooping, lifting, walking 8 hours per day.
