Site Safety Coordinator

TX Panhandle (Travel Required)

Position Overview

Blue Sage Services is seeking a driven and experienced Site Safety Coordinator to support field operations across active construction projects. This role is critical in fostering a safety-first culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and proactively identifying and mitigating risks on job sites.

This is a field-based position requiring consistent travel between project locations and direct engagement with crews, supervisors, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance 
  • Lead incident investigations, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions 
  • Deliver site-specific safety training (PPE, hazard recognition, emergency response, etc.) 
  • Enforce company safety policies and OSHA/regulatory standards 
  • Track and report incidents, near misses, and key safety metrics 
  • Support implementation of hazard controls and safe work practices 
  • Monitor PPE compliance and ensure proper use and availability 
  • Participate in emergency response planning and drills 
  • Partner with project teams to drive accountability and a strong safety culture 
  • Maintain accurate documentation including inspections, training logs, and reports 

Qualifications & Experience

Education (Preferred):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related field 

Experience:

  • 3+ years of construction safety experience preferred 
  • OR CSHO certification with 5+ years of relevant safety experience 

Certifications (Preferred):

  • CSHO or equivalent professional safety certification 
  • OSHA certifications are a plus 

Preferred Industry Experience:

  • Data center or heavy civil construction experience strongly preferred 

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices 
  • Ability to lead from the field and influence crews and supervisors 
  • Proven experience conducting incident investigations and implementing corrective actions 
  • Highly organized with strong documentation and reporting capabilities 
  • Proficient in Excel and safety management systems 
  • Strong communication skills across all levels of a job site 

Work Environment & Travel

  • Field-based role on active construction sites 
  • Regular travel required between project locations.
