QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Arizona State Administrative Certificate.
- Minimum of a Master’s degree in education required.
- Valid Arizona State Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
- Minimum of five years successful teaching experience in a PreK-12 school district with students with disabilities ages 2.5-21.
- Knowledge, experience and expertise in all areas of exceptionalities and/or disability including, but not limited to related service needs, programs for exceptional children, school management techniques, child development, counseling and psychological theory, modern curriculum concepts, and learning theory.
- Knowledge, experience and expertise in the development of IEPs and implementation of service delivery.
- Knowledge, experience and expertise in identifying and providing effective professional development to address the needs of Exceptional Student Service and Early Childhood Education staff.
- Knowledge and experience in children licensing requirements per Arizona Department of Health Services.
- Excellent communication skills and strong human relation skills and experience.
- Knowledge and expertise of laws, procedures, compliance, and due process procedures per state and federal laws for students with disabilities.
- Experience in supervision of Early Childhood Education desired.
- Valid Structured English Immersion (SEI endorsement.
