Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Valid Arizona State Administrative Certificate.
  2. Minimum of a Master’s degree in education required.
  3. Valid Arizona State Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
  4. Minimum of five years successful teaching experience in a PreK-12 school district with students with disabilities ages 2.5-21.
  5. Knowledge, experience and expertise in all areas of exceptionalities and/or disability including, but not limited to related service needs, programs for exceptional children, school management techniques, child development, counseling and psychological theory, modern curriculum concepts, and learning theory.
  6. Knowledge, experience and expertise in the development of IEPs and implementation of service delivery.
  7. Knowledge, experience and expertise in identifying and providing effective professional development to address the needs of Exceptional Student Service and Early Childhood Education staff.
  8. Knowledge and experience in children licensing requirements per Arizona Department of Health Services.
  9. Excellent communication skills and strong human relation skills and experience. 
  10. Knowledge and expertise of laws, procedures, compliance, and due process procedures per state and federal laws for students with disabilities.
  11. Experience in supervision of Early Childhood Education desired.
  12. Valid Structured English Immersion (SEI endorsement.
