JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Assign orders for thirdparty carriers and process documentation through Chorus Axle Hub, Iron Sight, and SharePoint, ensuring rates align with invoices and all required paperwork is complete.

·       Calculate and enter accessorial expenses for thirdparty carriers and Targa Transports into Right Angle S21.

·       Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.

·       Enter and maintain invoices, expense reports, and payment records in Oracle.

·       Support monthly close activities, including preparation of basic reconciliations.

·       Assist with data cleanup and validation efforts.

·       Maintain organized financial files and documentation, both digital and hard copy.

·       Enter transactions into ERP and accounting systems (e.g., Oracle)

·       Use Microsoft Excel for tracking, reconciliations, and financial summaries.

·       Follow established workflows, approval processes, and internal controls.

·       File paperwork and ensure timely and proper document retention and destruction in accordance with Targa policies.

·       Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Transport Manager. 

·       Coordinate with vendors and internal departments on billing questions

·       Respond to basic finance-related inquiries

·       Schedule meetings, track approvals, and follow-up on action items

·       Support process improvements and documentation updates

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

·       Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration

·       3 years’ experience working as an administrator with demonstrated proficiency in accounts payable/receivables and office management

·       Able to proficiently utilize Microsoft office products and other programs as required

·       Willing to work occasional overtime as required

·       Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised

·       Regular and reliable attendance

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

·       Prior experience working with transport group as an administrator

·       Previous experience with Chorus or Iron sight or equivalent truck management software

·       Previous experience with Right Angle or equivalent accounting software

·       Familiarity with DOT rules and regulations for Hours of Service for Transport drivers
