Job Description

The Floor Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the front-of-house team while maintaining an exceptional guest experience. This position is hands-on and fast-paced, requiring leadership, adaptability, and a customer-first mindset. The Floor Manager will coordinate closely with upper management to implement service standards, enforce company policies, and support both staff and guests throughout each shift.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and guide front-of-house operations during service hours
  • Assign server sections and provide active floor support while monitoring the overall flow of operations, including coordination between the host stand, bar, sushi bar, and kitchen.
  • Ensure the restaurant is clean, prepped, and ready before each shift.
  • Reinforce company policies regarding service standards, staff conduct, food and alcohol safety, dress code, tip handling, and scheduling, while ensuring employee break compliance in alignment with labor laws and internal guidelines.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for guest feedback, resolving concerns promptly and adapting to shift needs by addressing issues as they arise.
  • Promptly count cash from previous shifts, verify tip entries, and ensure accurate reconciliation and adjustments.
  • Relay tip discrepancies, cash issues, and labor-related updates to upper management promptly.
  • Communicate inventory or supply needs to upper management in a timely manner.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality leadership
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Calm under pressure with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with restaurant management platforms (e.g., Toast, TipHaus)
  • Current certifications in food and alcohol handling (or willingness to obtain)
  • Available to work weekends and all major holidays

(Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve are mandatory service days)
