Job Title: IT Specialist
This is a FULL-TIME staff position.
Job Responsibilities
- Staff Support
- Provide day-to-day technical support through the Help Desk, resolving IT-related issues efficiently.
- Manage staff onboarding/offboarding processes, including device setup, account provisioning, and tech orientation.
- Administer cloud-based platforms (email, file storage, Planning Center, etc.) and maintain internal IT documentation for staff support.
- Infrastructure and Planning
- Maintain and support networking infrastructure (firewalls, routers, switches, wireless, etc.) and perform regular equipment maintenance.
- Develop and execute a service schedule to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Track EOL/EOS items and prioritize weekly maintenance tasks accordingly.
- Coordinate and manage relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
- Maintain system documentation, track IT assets and licenses, and assess infrastructure for improvements aligned with church goals.
- Security & Staff Training
- Implement and oversee basic cybersecurity measures, including password policies, MFA, and regular software updates.
- Conduct periodic training for staff on security best practices, data handling, phishing awareness, and digital hygiene.
- Monitor and respond to security alerts or incidents, escalating when necessary.
- Production Support
- When available, assist the Production Team with technical support for events and special projects.
