About the Role

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to lead the commercial expansion of our premium nutritional ingredient portfolio in Brazil.

In this role, you will drive revenue growth by developing strong customer relationships and positioning our ingredients as best-in-class solutions for food supplement manufacturers, CDMOs, and brand owners.

You will play a key role in shaping the local commercial strategy, identifying new business opportunities, and representing the Brazilian market in regional and global initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

Commercial Strategy & Growth

  • Define and execute the local sales strategy aligned with regional business objectives, including collaboration with the local distributor

  • Lead market expansion initiatives, including product positioning, new sales approaches, and local market initiatives

  • Drive revenue growth and market penetration in Brazil

  • Recommend initiatives to increase visibility and awareness of the company and its product portfolio

Key Account Management

  • Build and manage strategic relationships with major retailers, pharmacy chains, distributors, and B2B customers

  • Lead commercial negotiations with key partners

  • Provide recommendations for pricing strategies and commercial terms

Market & Regulatory Expertise

  • Maintain a strong understanding of the Brazilian food supplement regulatory environment (ANVISA)

  • Collaborate with regulatory, quality, and marketing teams to ensure compliant commercialization

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and consumer insights

  • Identify new business opportunities, including through regulatory approvals and potential health claims

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to execute strategic account plans and achieve sales targets

  • Provide commercial input into innovation pipelines and product development strategies

  • Represent the Brazilian market in regional and global initiatives


Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of sales experience in the food supplement, nutraceutical, or pharmaceutical industry

  • Proven track record of leading sales operations in Brazil

  • Demonstrated success selling premium ingredients and value-added nutraceutical solutions

  • Ability to communicate science-based value propositions for advanced ingredients

  • Experience managing distributors, key accounts, and B2B customers

Preferred experience

  • Direct experience with Omega-3 (marine or algal), lipids, or specialty nutrition ingredients

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in Portuguese and English (Spanish is a plus)

  • Experience with CRM and enterprise tools (e.g., Salesforce, PowerBI)

  • Strong analytical and multitasking abilities

  • Ability to travel approximately 40%

Education
