ABOUT CMC
The Content, Media and Commerce team is made up of marketing and commerce experts responsible for creating unmissable omnichannel experiences; from creating the power of a 6P strategy across in store and dCommerce, to omnichannel retail marketing, from brand media to retail media, from digital to offline content production. We are fully integrated into the marketing team whilst maintaining the expertise, delivering in close collaboration with brands, with the same goals and objectives. We are an energized, young spirited, integrated team that sets the business up to take full advantage of the growth opportunities and thrives to stay ahead of the curve.
JOB PURPOSE
You will be in a high-profile role to lead the UKI Foods CMC, managing a team of 19 brilliant people: 9 Full Time Employees across WL2s & WL1s, along with 10 full-time long-term contractors – each delivering their own specialism in a particular channel. This is an ambitious, high performing team requiring a passionate leader to continue steering them to success.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Leads the entire CMC talent & ecosystem; from media planning to content production, from digital channel strategy to retail media, with a strong understanding of technologies & innovation to constantly future-proof capabilities.
• Leads the team that translates the individual brand JTBD into a joined-up, holistic comms approach, delivering a consistent message across paid media, retail media, organic social, influencers & dCommerce.
• Coordinates across three category verticals and seven brands to design and deliver end to end consumer and shopper experiences.
• Key contributor to the One Plan (annual planning process), collaborating with the brand leads on the deployment of their JTBD.
• Oversees the management of the Media & Retail Media BMI, ensuring forecast accuracy and investment within budget. Responsible for monthly updates to the UKI FLT (Foods Leadership Team).
• Drives the Social First agenda in collaboration with the Content Strategy Manager, bringing senior stakeholders on the journey and providing the foundations for the team to succeed.
• Represents UKI in European forums, sharing successes and learning from other markets to drive growth across the BU.
• Proactively identifies opportunities to solve business challenges and drive brand growth. Pioneers, tests & scales up new initiatives (e.g. LLM’s).
• Leads for a fun, open and collaborative team culture that consistently delivers high performance. Creates moments for team connection, learning and sharing (e.g. QBR’s, team away days)

This role is suited to a collaborative leader with extensive experience in marketing, media, and retail with a particular spike and passion for driving change. The right candidate will be able to demonstrate a wide range of capabilities and attributes.
Key skills include:
• Established experience in the fields of marketing, media and/or digital commerce. Retail Media experience preferred.
• Proven experience of leading for performance. Motivating multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
• Strong track record of building brands, developing and deploying marketing activations with outstanding results
• Established skills and knowledge around Digital in the wider consumer and customer domain
• Proven cases of creativity and embedding innovation, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement, driving change and transformation
• Strong ability to develop inspiring strategy and narrative – that unifies the team towards contributing to direct business impact
