Job Description

Quanex is looking for a Research Chemist II to join our team located in Akron, Ohio.

Summary

This position will work with a team to develop and commercialize new products and improve existing products and processes.

  • Understand customer/product requirements and apply understanding to tasks/projects
  • Proficient in basic laboratory experimental methods
  • Familiar with Basic Experimental Design and analysis of results

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Polymer Science, Chemistry, Macro-Molecular Science or related field of study.
  • 2 - 6 years of experience in product development or improvement
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for recording, organizing and graphical analysis of data
  • Familiar with word processor, email, and PowerPoint type software

The salary range for this position is $69,900 to $87,000 w/ bonus potential.
