The Part‑Time On‑Call IT Help Support specialist provides flexible, as‑needed technical assistance to employees across the organization. This role is responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues; supporting end‑user devices; assisting with service desk tickets; and ensuring timely resolution of technology-related problems. The ideal candidate is reliable, customer‑focused, and comfortable responding to requests with short notice.
- Support workstation setup, configuration, and deployment.
- Install and update approved software applications.
- Assist with equipment moves, device imaging, and inventory tracking.
- Troubleshoot issues related to operating systems, standard business applications, and connectivity.
- Provide remote or on‑site support depending on need and availability.
- Provide on‑call support during assigned hours, including evenings or weekends if needed.
- Support basic network troubleshooting for Wi‑Fi, VPN, and user access issues.
- Assist in password resets, account unlocks, and MFA management.
The position is contingent upon candidate’s ability to meet physical and medical requirements as needed by the position; including compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local jurisdictional requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- 10+ year experience in IT support, help desk, or technical troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of Windows and/or macOS operating systems.
- Ability to diagnose basic hardware, software, and network issues.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage time independently and respond promptly while on call.
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to perform duties that may involve standing, bending, or working in small spaces.
- Hours vary based on organizational needs; typical on‑call times may include evenings, weekends, or special projects.
- Response times must meet established standards for the on‑call schedule.

Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $65/hr to $75/hr (USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
