Veterinary Technician – Full Time
Wilcrest Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our AAHA-accredited small animal practice in Houston, Texas. This role is ideal for a technician with strong surgical experience who is ready to take ownership in the OR and help support a positive, team-driven culture.
For the right candidate, this position offers a clear path to Lead Technician or Lead Surgery Technician after approximately 90 days.

Key Responsibilities
Support and lead surgical flow, especially morning surgery setup
Induce and monitor anesthesia for routine and advanced procedures
Assist with complex surgeries, including C-sections and exploratory procedures
Anticipate doctors' needs and maintain efficient OR workflow
Perform and support CPR when needed
Delegate tasks appropriately and help guide support staff
Educate clients and maintain accurate medical records
Contribute positively to a respectful, collaborative team culture
Schedule
Full-time: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
Target schedule: 4×10-hour shifts
Rotating Saturdays
Compensation
$21-$24 per hour, with potential increase when moving to Lead role.
Flexibility for highly experienced or licensed technicians
Quarterly team incentive bonus available
Qualifications
5+ years of veterinary technician experience strongly preferred
Demonstrated strong surgical and anesthesia experience required
Comfortable in a fast-paced surgical environment
Confident delegator who can help guide team workflow
Strong CPR knowledge and emergency readiness
Excellent communication and professionalism
Credentialed technicians (LVT/CVT/RVT) encouraged to apply
