    Job Summary:

    Maintain, repair, and install District technology hardware, peripherals, and classroom technology in accordance with District standards for efficiency, compatibility, and security. Assist in troubleshooting productivity applications, network, e-mail connections, and operating systems.  Maintain accurate equipment inventories and asset records within the District's asset management system.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

    • Troubleshoot and resolve operating system and District application software problems.
    • Install and configure District software applications, deploy images on Windows/Mac/Chrome/iOS devices, and perform basic device management tasks in Microsoft Intune.
    • Troubleshoot interactive flat panels, interactive boards, document cameras, printers, phones, and other equipment that interfaces with District computers.
    • Assist in maintaining District network, e-mail, and Internet connections.
    • Retrieve and deliver District computer equipment for installation, maintenance, or repair.
    • Interface with vendors and manage systems to maintain adequate inventory of parts, computers, and peripherals; maintain accurate repair, maintenance, and asset records within the District's asset management system.
    • Provide technical and audiovisual support for Board of Education meetings and other District events as assigned, ensuring equipment and connectivity function reliably before and during sessions.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.


    Education, Training and Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent, plus specialized advanced courses equivalent to two years of college in technology.
    • Associate degree in Information Technology; A+ Certification and Network+ Certification preferred at hire.
    • Over three years of experience as a help desk or desktop technician in computer hardware, Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, and iOS operating systems, computer applications/software, and asset/inventory management systems.
    • Experience with device management platforms such as Microsoft Intune is preferred.
    • Basic computer, electronic, technical, math, writing, and communication skills.
    • Knowledge of computer software and hardware installation and maintenance; operating knowledge of Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, and iOS systems and electronics/test equipment required for hire.
    • Basic familiarity with device management systems such as Microsoft Intune for enrollment, compliance, and remote management tasks.  
    • Experience using asset management systems (e.g., Destiny, IncidentIQ, or equivalent).
    • Understanding of inventory control processes and data accuracy standards.
    • Ability to manage multiple technology assets across sites and maintain detailed records in accordance with District procedures.
    • Ability to promote and follow Board of Education Coherent Governance Policies, District Policies and building and department procedures; communicate, interact, and work effectively and cooperatively with people from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds.
    • Recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment, and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator.
    • Ability to set up and support presentation and audiovisual systems for meetings or events preferred.
    • Criminal background check and District fingerprinting required.
