Alpine Public School District is seeking a passionate, certified Middle School ELA Teacher (Grades 5-8) for the 2026/2027 school year to foster critical thinking, literacy, and a love of reading. 

QUALIFICATIONS:    
1. Valid NJDOE English Teacher certification or Elementary Education with     equivalent Middle School ELA specialization Grades 5-8.Additional certifications preferred including TOSD. 

2.    Develop and implement engaging ELA lessons aligned with state standards.

3.    Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture. Experience teaching collaboratively is preferred. 

4.    A proven track record of Improving students' writing skills, ranging from extemporaneous writing to formal essay writing.

5.    Experienced in differentiating instruction to meet all students' learning needs in all areas of English language arts reading and writing instruction.

6.    Utilize data to monitor student progress and provide actionable feedback.

7.    Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress.

8.    Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary curriculum planning.

REPORTS TO: Designated Administrator

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Terms of tenure track position per AEA collective bargaining agreement. Competitive salary (ranging from $62,00 to $105,601+ per year based on location/experience).

Eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, and vision  paid sick and personal leave accruals (pursuant to the collective bargaining agreement), and enrollment in the New Jersey Teachers' Pension and Annuity Fund (TPAF).  The position is eligible for additional compensation.
