About Our Opportunity
We are seeking a safety minded team member with an attention to detail for an Inventory Control/Receiving Clerk position on 1st shift in Montoursville, PA. Under the direct supervision of the Warehouse Operations Manager of Montoursville, this position provides support to the Montoursville facility including: assisting with the inventory control process to maintain integrity of inventory and ensure raw materials are in house and available in order to support all production needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist Department Manger to Analyze and partner with various departments to improve the procedures in place for maintaining inventory levels, work order posting, and shipment verification of product.
- Analyze production schedules and identify needs for raw materials to maintain schedule.
- Print all appropriate Work Orders (BOM’s) for cups and napkins.
- Collaborates with Corporate regarding running changes and/or conversions for UPC’s that are introduced to the line and/or phased out.
- Identifies and requests new UPC’s to be entered into the system, monitors and produces samples and collaborates to obtain approval.
- Label Database Management, along with collaboration with label makers, monitors and maintains label inventory.
- Collaborate and partner with the corporate team to identify and purge obsolete labels from the system.
- Prepares weekly forecast for Mark Andy Label Making (pre-printed UPC / blank label stock) to the Printing Manager.
- Assist with cycle count approach that includes inventory counts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis for consumables, labels, and other raw materials. Requires one Saturday per month commitment.
- Assist Department Manager in balancing weekly / monthly inventory totals.
- Assist Department Manager in driving accurate cycle counts.
- Manage and communicate all special label programs (Ex. GTIN Labels). Responsible for identifying all upcoming finished good item numbers that require special label formats and ensure the list is communicated to floor leadership for reference.
- Organize all information as related to inventory control and assist in ensuring adequate inventory levels are maintained.
- Assist and review variances by researching receipts, work order and shipment postings, BOM’s in JDE, and inventory moves. Partner with all departments to research variances and establish corrective measures.
- Provide variance summary of findings to department manager that explains all issues reviewed.
- Assist in establishing controls to ensure the accounting of all inventory.
- Exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others, and works to maintain constructive working relationships. Must partner with and build a rapport with all departments to establish effective Inventory Control.
- A commitment to company wide quality and safety is required.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, technical school, or GED required. Undergraduate degree preferred.
- Three to five years experience in a distribution/manufacturing environment in an administrative or clerical role preferred.
- Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Independent thinking, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to produce time-sensitive materials.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and understand related documents.
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel, and JDE.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent follow-up and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work independently with little direction.
