We are currently seeking a compassionate, highly skilled, and
reliable personal care assistant (PCA) to serve as part of our growing private
home care family. In this role, you will work with sick, disabled, or elderly
clients in their homes, helping them with basic personal hygiene and domestic
tasks as needed, according to their requirements and limitations. Duties may
include but not limited to housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, changing
linens, trash disposal, accompanying or arranging transportation to places
outside of the residence for appointments, entertainment, exercise, recreation,
shopping, or social activities. You will provide compassionate care and
assistance and document clients’ progress to help ensure their overall
wellbeing. PCAs will report to the Administrator and will be directly
supervised by the licensed RN.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Current certificate in first aid and CPR preferred
  • Copy of recent PCA competency test or willingness to complete
    within 15 days of hire.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable automobile, and current auto
    insurance required
  • Minimum one year of experience working in a health care setting
  • Candidate will demonstrate good communication skills and
    competence in serving culturally diverse populations.
  • Able to lift heavy objects, help move clients, and perform
    physical tasks

  • Willingness to comply with all legal and institutional
    requirements and guidelines
